Lasing

April 22, 2009

Hi, folks! Have you heard about the incredible phenomenon of light amplification by stimulated emission of radiation? Perhaps you know it by its catchy acronym, LASER?

We had a slick and very confident elephant drop by yesterday, a specialist in this exciting new technology. I hadn’t heard of it before but golly, he made a persuasive case! Apparently these lasers are the hot new thing and I, committed as I am to ensuring the Institute is the industry leader in newfangled stuff, bought every laser he had on the spot!

Cinderbottom and I spent all night installing them and I’m proud to say that the Peggle Institute is now the most laser-enabled Peggle establishment in the region. Why, we must have put up over six hundred lasers in every color of the rainbow from red to gurple (invisible to you humans). We have lasers in the hallways, the water fountains, the toilets and in all eight corners of every classroom! Let no one anywhere say we are lacking in lasers!

Now, I admit, I’m not exactly sure what they’re for, but the elephant assured me they have hundreds of uses and I’m excited to start discovering what they are! Jimmy was kind enough to discover that they’re terribly good at blinding gophers, so that’s a start. I wonder if they can blind aliens and pumpkins, too? The possibilities are endless!

Oh, and hey! Don’t let my enthusiasm for lasers allow me to forget to plug our Peggle Art Contest! It’s a contest! Enter it!
