Wow, I don’t know about you folks, but we all had a great time yesterday at our wacky “Game with the Masters” event! Losing’s never felt so fun!
It was a wild scene at the PopCap offices, I can tell you, magical animals and only slightly less magical humans side by side in Peggle, sharing our skills and wisdom with anybody who cared to leap onto an Xbox and join in.
And join in they did, people with strange monikers like Brooksr and VialsofViolence and NNSharkBaitNN and dozens of others, Peggle enthusiasts from all over. It was a friendly, polite and relaxed scene, free of the verbal poison I’m told often clogs online gaming. Folks cheered their own shots and the shots of others, gave and accepted Peggle advice, quizzed the Masters and the PopCappers on the intricacies of their professions.
Kat Tut really came into his own last night, rolling around the office on a huge ball of yarn like a spherical unicycle, cheerily yelping out his own name every time he did something worthwhile. Renfield revealed a killer instinct I’d never seen before, ruthlessly schooling his opponents at every opportunity. And me? I played some games. I wish I could say I won them all, but I’m even happier to say I suffered many sound defeats at the hands of some enthusiastic Pegglers. Peggle XBLA has only been out for a week but already you humans have mastered it beyond my wildest imaginings. Well done, everybody who participated! We should do this again sometime!
