“Game with the Peggle Masters”

This came up a bit during last week’s interview with PopCap developer Heather Hazen but I’ll mention it again. This Thursday, interested humans will be afforded the opportunity to directly challenge Peggle Institute staffers in a battle of Peggle XBLA supremacy so explosive it can only be termed “awesome.” All your favorite Masters will attend, from Jimmy to Tula to Renfield to Lord Cinderbottom, and of course it goes with saying that I, Bjorn Unicorn, Headmaster of the Peggle Institute, will also be there to school you folks down to the ground.
I don’t want to brag –boasting isn’t my style– but you should know that your parents and grandparents will be forced to cover their heads in shame after witnessing the apocalysm of your defeat. Small children will point at you and jeer as motor vehicles refuse to function in your presence, so badly will you be beaten. Light itself, sympathetic to your disgrace, will dim when you’re around.
Again, this isn’t arrogance on my part. I’m simply relating the facts. But don’t be intimidated; fire up your XBLA and give it your best shot! It may be that I’m not actually that good!

This week also brings Austin, Texas’s legendary South by Southwest Festival, and from what I’ve heard quite a bit of the festival revolves around what you would call “partying.” In service to this I’m told the highly regarded 508 Ticketmaster House will feature loads of Nintendo stuff and that further, Peggle Dual Shot will constitute some of those loads. So if you find yourself in Austin digging on SXSW, do avail yourself of the opportunity to hang out, relax, and play pocket-sized Peggle! Get yourself some free Peggle stickers!
